Albatross Looks to the future!
The Albatross Travel Group Ltd, winner of the Coach Tourism
Wholesaler of the year award, continues to improve it's core
product and develop new services to offer coach operators. This
focus has led to the launch of Albatross Specialist Products (ASP),
which will deliver customised services in pursuit of the next
generation of coach passengers.
Dan Fox will be heading up the new division, and has worked for TUI
and TCG. Dan also has extensive experience in using technology to
drive business forwards.
The first product launched by ASP is a Professional Call Answering
Service.
ASP have launched the professional call answering service following
comments from several operators that customers increasingly wanted
to call beyond the normal 9 to 5, however when they looked into a
call centre service it was very expensive to set up and therefore
not cost effective.
By using it's position in the market they were able to negotiate an
incredible deal on behalf of their operators.
Highlights of the service include a UK based call answering service
available 24 hours a day 365 days a year, Tailored response that is
an extension of the operators' office, No commitment required, and
complete control of costs. The call centre are able to handle
enquiries, brochure requests, emergency calls, and even take
bookings and payments. Instant call information is also relayed to
the operator by email or text message.
The latest ASP product to be launched, in conjunction with
Soundscape, is an intelligent GPS-triggered commentary system that
delivers high quality audio explaining points of interest on
route.
Already in use by major coach operators not to mention on several
city sightseeing buses and river tour boats, the systems success
means that routes across Europe are now covered.
In addition to exceptional customer feedback, operators recognise
the financial and safety benefits to the system. One great
application has been to cover the long drive down to the
Mediterranean coasts of Ital, France and Spain, where no guide is
present; the system give great information and makes the hours fly
by.
With Soundscape on board, passengers are able to listen to
commentaries explaining points of interest that they are passing
en-route. The commentaries feature a variety of voices, music,
sound effects and readings designed to be lively, entertaining and
informative. The subject matter is varied ranging from historic,
art & culture, geology, wildlife and current events.
Later this year there will also be a major launch, which will
enable coach operators to find the next generation of
passengers!
